It is understood that at present, the price of UAV in the market ranges from 50000 to 300000, which is enough to deter ordinary farmers, and it is not cost-effective to buy such expensive UAV because of one or two needs.

Second, the operation efficiency is difficult to improve, and the technology of agriculture UAV drone for plant protection is constantly developing, so that it can fly freely and complete the operation task no matter in plain area or hilly area. But the terrain is different, the efficiency is different, and the promotion difficulty is different. The north area is mainly plain, which can realize large-scale planting, and the use of plant protection drones for operation is high efficiency and easy to promote; while the South terrain is mainly hills, so the use of plant protection drones for operation efficiency is difficult to improve, not easy to promote, so the popularity is poor.

Third, the technical standards are not perfect. At present, the production technology standard and spray operation technology standard of agriculture UAV drone for plant protection are in blank status in China. In the absence of corresponding use training, it is difficult for farmers to operate and use them independently and accurately. After purchasing the UAV for plant protection, the farmers either learn to operate by themselves or hire professional operators. However, there are only a few flight majors and training institutions in Colleges and universities in China, which are inadequate for the scale of agricultural aviation.

Fourth, the complex market environment and the lack of various technical standards have lowered the threshold for enterprises to enter this field. Many enterprises blindly follow the trend, fish in troubled waters, and few mature and reliable plant protection drones. Many manufacturers are blindly seeking for large scale, ignoring the special requirements of plant protection operation. Such a disordered market environment makes some powerful enterprises lose trust in the hearts of users. Most buyers hold a wait-and-see attitude.

Fifth, the agriculture UAV drone supporting services are not complete. The supporting services for agricultural plant protection include training, maintenance, insurance, leasing, etc. because the UAV for plant protection has not played an important role in China's agricultural production, the supporting service-oriented professional companies have not yet formed a scale, and individual enterprises are not able to bear the cost of the above services, so there is a lack of large-scale promotion. For example, the use frequency of UAV in plant protection is much higher than that of UAV products in general field, and its failure rate and repair rate will also increase correspondingly.

Sixth, personal factors of the agriculture UAV drone buyer. As a new product of plant protection machinery, the buyer lacks relevant knowledge and purchases blindly. Moreover, the knowledge of the buyer 's special agent is insufficient, and the individual mixes the agent blindly, resulting in the problems of too high pesticide residues and poor pest control effect. All of these affect the reputation of plant protection UAV in the eyes of customers and potential customers.
