There are many types of pumping pumps for pumping tests. Generally, low-pressure horizontal centrifugal pumps, air compressors and deep well pumpsare commonly used.

The centrifugal water pump has the advantages of simple structure, small volume, convenient loading and unloading, large water output, uniform water discharge, rapid starting, easy adjustment of water quantity, and absorption of sand-containing water. However, its suction stroke is not large, generally 7 to 9 meters, and is only suitable for wells with shallow groundwater levels. The air compressor has a simple structure and is not limited by the water level. It can transport sand-containing water, and the well pipe does not affect pumping when it is slightly bent. However, the working efficiency of the air compressor is generally only 15 to 25%, the waste of power is excessive, and the water is not uniform enough.

The deep well pump can absorb deep water and the water is even. However, the pumping cost is high and the sand-containing water cannot be sucked. The choice of pump is mainly determined by factors such as the static water level of the groundwater, the designed water output of the well, the water level drop and the diameter of the well pipe. When selecting a water pump, the maximum water output should not be less than 75% of the water produced by the well.

Let me briefly introduce the use of deep well pumps. The deep well pump is divided into a deep well pump with a motor on the well and a deep well pump with a submersible motor. The pump is characterized by a high lift and is suitable for tube wells with a moving water level of more than 10 meters, with uniform water output and high efficiency.Deep well pumps with uphole motors are more commonly used. When installing deep well pumps, the centerline of the shaft and the outlet pipe should not be slightly bent or tilted. The shaft and the bearing should be kept in good tightness and the lubricant should be added. The wing of the pump should be installed 2 to 3 meters below the moving water level. Before connecting the motor to the water pump, it is necessary to check in detail whether the direction of rotation is the same. If it is connected in reverse, it will cause damage to the pump.
