Correct Use Of Plastic Film

Ridging Film Mulching Machine mulching film machine mulching film laying machine

How to use it correctly is the key after choosing the right mulch. There are several common ways to use it correctly:

High ridge cover
This method is simple to use and the most widely used, but it is best to use drip irrigation for best results.

Drip irrigation soil is good
Many growers use this method of ridging film mulching machine and also adopt large ditch irrigation, which leads to the compaction of high ridge soil, the plastic film clings to the ground, which cannot play a good role in raising the ground temperature. The soil has poor air permeability and the root environment is getting worse, resulting in Plants are prone to premature senescence in later stages.

Soil compaction by flood irrigation High ridge arch covered
This method is to use bamboo chips or small wooden sticks on the high ridge to build a semi-circular arch around the height of 10 cm along the width of the earth ridge, build an arch every 1 meter long, and then cover the mulch to form a small In the arch shed, this method has a good effect of warming and moisturizing, the root environment is stable, and the use effect is excellent.

Covered by small arch shed
In order to save costs, some growers want to raise the temperature, keep moisture and reduce humidity. This method is to open a planting ditch between the ridges, put a small arch shed 5-10 cm above the ridge on the planting ditch, and then cover the mulch. Irrigation along the outermost arch shed mouth also works well.

However, the use of plastic film mulching should also be based on local actual conditions, and it should not be cultivated on dry sandy land, barren land, or heavy clay soil. Because the soil temperature after covering the dry sandy land is prone to high temperature at noon, in the case of severe drought, it will cause a reduction in production. On poor soil, it is inconvenient to apply fertilizer after covering the film. If the application of basic fertilizer is insufficient during sowing, the cover cannot increase production (drip irrigation can be used). Heavy clay soils are more and more rough when drought, and it is difficult to rake the ground when arranging the ground. It is difficult to adhere to the ground after covering the film. The film is easy to blow off when the wind is blowing, and the use effect is poor.
